Here at White Leaf Provisions, we have been presented with an interesting problem. The technology behind today's baby food packaging is amazing at preserving the taste and integrity of our regenerative, organic ingredients but it does not do our environment any favors. Bringing a biodynamic and regeneratively farmed product to market has been a dream come true, but if the packaging that preserves and protects the ingredients is not 100% recyclable or compostable, we still have a problem to solve. We know we have more work to do, and are aware of the effect our products have on the planet. We are working closely with our manufacturers to solve the conundrum, and in the meantime, we are proud to partner with TerraCycle until we are able to implement a completely compostable and recyclable packaging option. Our TerraCycle recycling program offers a 50% subsidy towards a prepaid Zero Waste envelope you simply fill with your empty White Leaf Provisions pouches and send back to Terracycle for cleaning, sorting, and processing. As a small family run business, we cannot yet completely foot the bill by ourselves, and are thankful to partner with other folks who care equally about the planet to match their donations.
